If you're looking for an alternative to the MS stylus I can thoroughly recommend this one. Well worth it and excellent value at a third of the price of the Surface Pens. This will be my Surface Duo companion pen, where I take notes but don't draw much. In use, the latency, jitter, and drawing experience is identical as far as I can tell to the Gen4 and Slim. It doesn't have magnets in, but it will tenuously stick to the side of my SB3 when I'm not carrying it around. I really wanted an updated stylus with a clip - the SP3 pen only manages 256 levels of pressure, so the Uogic seemed a good bet. I also find that I accidentally hit the button on the slim pen all the time, not so with the Gen 3, Gen 4 or Uogic. Accurate and Smooth: Uogic Active Stylus Pen is sensitive to pressure, you can easily write on the screen - just like a conventional pencil. I like this arrangement as I rock the Surface Book 3 and the slim pen is a PITA having to carry the charging cradle - and the battery life can barely get me through a digital painting (I am a beginner and slow!). Like the Gen3, it takes one AAAA battery which is claimed to last 1500 hours (it auto-shuts off when not in use). This updated version boasts 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, as well as Tilt function. My preference is for the H, from both Uogic and MS. It comes with HB installed as well as a spare HB, 2x H and one 2H. Nibs are OK, not as much drag as I like from the Surface nibs. For comparison, the Gen 3 and Gen 4 are closer to 9mm diameter. It measures 10mm in diameter, the same as the Stabilo analogue pen on my desk. The buttons are about 5mm closer to the nib than the SP3 pen. The two buttons function as erase and right click, and is my preferred arrangement - the tip eraser is a gimmick IMHO, and is a faff to turn the pen around every time you want to erase something. Surface Laptop 5/4/3/2/1, Surface Book 3/2, ,Surface Pen or Stylus Pen or Digital Pen for Microsoft Surface, Ink 581 Magnetic Stylus Pen, 4096 Pressure. It looks similar to the Gen 3 (Surface Pro 3 pen), but has no Bluetooth for opening apps. Pen for Microsoft Surface, 4096 Pressure Sensitivity Palm Rejection Stylus, Compatible with Surface Pro8/X/7/6/5,Uogic Pen for Microsoft. So I spent a whopping USD29.99 and bought the Uogic Active Stylus (updated) for my Surface Pen collection.
